Muscles, Mimosas, and Misery

Ah, my neglected blog. I find that it is around this time of year I begin to miss writing.  Probably not coincidental that it is close to DragonCon time.  I have spent the last couple of days browsing Pinterest, Imgur, and Google looking for cosplay inspiration.  I can never find anything that has my exact vision.  Maybe that is one of the reasons I like cosplay so much.  I am not great at drawing or other artistic things, but I can craft.  Through crafting I can create my"artwork".  Perhaps not.  It is just super fun to cosplay! Last year I really did not do much with cosplay.  I have gained a significant amount of weight over the last few years,and I have let that impact my life.  There have been several things I have not done because of my weight and cosplay is one of those things.  I am both trying to lose weight and change that mindset.  Neither of those are easy tasks.  I have tried several different methods of los...

I love going to SciFi/Fantasy/Pop Culture conventions.  They are always an absolute blast.  I also think I learn something every year I go.  I'm going to break this down into categories to make it easier to browse through.  The categories are hotel rooms, room mates, people, activities, food, cosplay, and my recommended packing list. This is me at DragonCon 2009.  My first con and this is Day 2.
